When setting up slide shows, photo
galleries or product images, creating a "stack" of images in
Fireworks, is one of the handiest ways to do it. The beauty
is they will be exactly the same size, and you can export
them in any size (pixels or percentages) you need.
To
start, import the photos you want to use into Fireworks. On
the frames dialogue menu, click near the top right and "add
more frames".
You will be prompted to say how many layers
you want. You can always add more later, or change the order
of the photos. Put one image/ photo on each layer. You can
let the edges "hang over" the edges of your Fireworks
document, and when you are satisfied you have they cropped
they way you want, >Modify canvas>Trim canvas.
Now you are
ready to export the images into identically sized files.
Choose File > Export Preview to open the
Export Preview, if it isn;t already open.
Exporting from Fireworks is a two-step process. First
prepare your graphic or document for export by optimizing
it. After your graphic has been optimized, you can
export it.
Using Export Preview
Choose File > Export.
Type a filename and choose a destination folder.
To export frames as multiple files, choose Frames to Files.
Click Save.
The Export Preview displays optimization
and export options for your current document.
You can use split views to compare various settings to find
the smallest file size that maintains an acceptable level of
quality.
You can export Fireworks graphics in a
number of ways. You can export a document as a single image
in GIF, JPEG, or another graphic file format. Or you can
export the entire document as an HTML file and associated
image files. Or you can choose to export selected slices
only
