Define your site in Dreamweaver. Browse to the folder created by the unzipped file.

Template packages include Dreamweaver templates (.dwt files, located in the Templates folder) and sample .htm pages created from the .dwt files, located at the top level of the package folder).

The template packages also includes image files that appear on the sample .htm pages, (.gif or .jpg files, located in the Images folder) and blank source images (.gif and .jpg files) without the text for you to modify in the graphics program of your choice.

Use the template package to create a new site or add template files to an existing site. Create new pages from the Dreamweaver templates (the .dwt files), modify sample pages (.htm files) with your own content, or reformat existing HTML pages in a site by applying a template to them. Modifying Images

You can edit the graphics in any graphics program-- but for ease of use, we recommend Fireworks. For photographic or images with many colors, we recommend Adobe Photoshop. The name and navigation samples on the pages have been used for display purposes and you may change to any font or color of your choice and add any special effects you desire, such as drop shadow or beveling.

Some images in the template package are basically placeholders - easily changed to an image of your choice. To maintain the integrity of the layout, you should use the same pixel dimensions.

Library Items

Several areas of the sample pages may contain library items. These areas are usually the footer, and the news areas . You may remove them if desired.  Open the library items either by double clicking on the name of the library item in the site files list, or by using the assets panel. Make the text changes, save, and the changes now appear on all pages.

Complete Instructions
We offer many tutorials and help files in this site. Complete instructions for modifying a template can be found on the Adobe site. It is suggested you read and print them if necessary.
