Also included are image files that appear on the templates (.gif or .jpg files, located in the images folder) and the original source images used to create the .gif and .jpg files. The Fireworks folder contains the .png files.

In addition, the sample site folder includes library items, images and other objects that are reused.

You may use a template to create a new site or add sample template files to an existing site. You can create new pages from the templates (.dwt files), modify sample pages (.htm files) with your own content, or reformat existing HTML pages in a site by applying a template to them.

The index template (.dwt file) contains a header graphic to identify the site and a navigation bar to link to other pages in the site. The navigation bar appears on the layout template (.dwt). You can modify the header graphic and the navigation bar in Fireworks to customize for your own site

The template package also includes placeholder images for any items you will need to customize in your graphics program, such as the navigation or company name images.

Some images in the template package are free placeholder royalty free images - - easily changed to an image of your choice. To maintain the the layout, you should use the same pixel dimensions as the originals, unless you are an experienced user and are comfortable resizing in Fireworks and Dreamweaver

You can edit the graphics in nearly any graphics program. The image folder contains a set of buttons and logo and page header files. The name and navigation samples on the pages have been used for display purposes and you may change to any font or color of your choice and add any special effects you desire, such as drop shadow or beveling.
